UniOrientiert

This is an annual event at the University of Vienna in which all fields of studies introduce themselves to interested high school students.

The Faculty of Physics participates in UniOrientiert with a comprehensive programme. At the info desk at the main building of the university, faculty students and directors of studies offer information about characteristics, chances and career opportunities for studying physics. On one day, high school students are invited to visit the faculty. They get an introduction to research activities by the dean and an overview on studying and curricula by the director of studies. Afterwards they have the opportunity to meet and talk to our scientists at a reception. Later on they can attend a trial lecture and a follow-up lab course to experience what being a university student feels like.
